When relevant to your inquiry or requested by you, we may disclose your contact information, business background, project information, market, site information, goals, and questions to AUTEC Car Wash Systems and other equipment, service, maintenance, chemistry, technology, or solution providers.

C. Lenders, Contractors, and Professional Resources

When relevant to your inquiry or requested by you, we may disclose information to lenders, financing resources, general contractors, engineers, real estate professionals, consultants, and other resources that may be able to assist with a car wash project. Providing your information to Own the Wash does not require a lender, contractor, or other provider to accept your project or offer particular terms.

D. Affiliates and Associated Companies

We may disclose information to companies owned by, affiliated with, or associated with Own the Wash or Vic Keller for internal administration, lead coordination, project support, introductions, service delivery, and other purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy. We will not transfer your mobile marketing opt-in consent to another company for that company's independent marketing. If another company wants to send you marketing text messages or automated marketing calls, it must obtain any consent required by law.

E. Advertising and Analytics Partners

We may disclose identifiers, device information, cookie data, and internet activity to advertising and analytics partners to measure advertising and deliver or improve targeted advertising. Depending on the law in your state, these activities may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or processing for targeted advertising, even though we do not sell personal information for money. You may request to opt out as described in the Your Privacy Rights section.

F. Legal, Safety, and Compliance Disclosures

We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or legal process; protect rights, property, safety, or security; investigate fraud, misuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity; or enforce agreements and defend legal claims.

G. Business Transactions

We may disclose or transfer information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.

5. Cookies and Targeted Advertising

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the website, remember preferences, understand usage, measure advertising, and support targeted advertising.

Meta and Google may receive information about your browser, device, website activity, and interactions with advertisements. They may combine this information with information collected through other websites or services according to their own privacy policies.

You may be able to control cookies through your browser, device settings, or a cookie preference tool made available on the website. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality.

Where applicable law gives you a right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing, you may submit a request by emailing info@ownthewash.com with the subject line "Privacy Opt-Out." Please identify the browser or device associated with your request when reasonably necessary. We may also provide a website privacy-control link or cookie preference tool.

We do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals in a uniform manner because no single industry standard applies. We will recognize legally required opt-out preference signals when and as required by applicable law and supported by our systems.

6. Calls, Email, and Text Messages

We may use the contact information you provide to respond to your inquiry and communicate about requested Services.

We will send marketing emails, calls, or text messages as permitted by law and, when required, after obtaining appropriate consent. Consent to marketing is not a condition of purchasing property, goods, or services.

You may:

  • Unsubscribe from marketing emails through the unsubscribe link.
  • Reply STOP to marketing text messages.
  • Ask not to receive marketing calls during a call or by contacting us.
  • Email info@ownthewash.com with your request.

We may still send non-marketing communications needed to respond to a request, administer an appointment, document an opt-out, address security, or comply with law.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including responding to inquiries, maintaining business and consent records, coordinating introductions, improving the Services, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and complying with legal obligations.

Retention periods depend on the nature of the information, the reason it was collected, the sensitivity of the information, legal requirements, and operational needs. We may retain opt-out and suppression records to ensure that we continue to honor your communication preferences.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no website, network, storage system, or electronic transmission is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for using caution when transmitting information and for avoiding the submission of unnecessary sensitive information.

  • Exercise rights without unlawful discrimination or retaliation.

To submit a request, email info@ownthewash.com with the subject line "Privacy Request" and describe the right you want to exercise. Because we operate online and maintain a direct relationship with users, email is our primary request method.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Verification may require matching information you provide with information we maintain. We will use verification information only for that purpose. We may deny or limit a request when permitted by law, including when we cannot verify identity, the request is fraudulent or excessive, or an exception applies.

If we deny a request, you may appeal by emailing info@ownthewash.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal" and explaining your position. If an appeal is denied and applicable law requires it, we will provide information about contacting the appropriate state regulator or attorney general.

You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We may request evidence of the agent's authority and may verify your identity directly.

10. State-Specific Disclosures

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights. We will process requests in accordance with applicable law.

For purposes of these laws, the categories of personal information we may process include identifiers and contact information, commercial and project information, professional or employment-related information, internet or electronic-network activity, approximate geolocation, communications, and inferences drawn from that information.

The categories of third parties to which we may disclose personal information are described in the How We Disclose Personal Information section.

We do not knowingly sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising pixels and disclosure of online activity to advertising partners may be treated as sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under some state laws. You may opt out by following the instructions in this Privacy Policy.

We do not knowingly use personal information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects concerning employment, housing, insurance, education, lending, health care, criminal justice, or access to basic necessities.

11. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact info@ownthewash.com so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

12. Third-Party Services

The website may contain links to or integrations with third-party services. Own the Wash does not control and is not responsible for third-party privacy practices. Review the privacy policy of any third party before providing information or entering into a transaction.
